Hello Everyone!

 

I have a little more information about the Rhode Island Halloween dinner/show.  The Vermont girls unfortunately will not be able to attend.  I for one can not get that day off.

 

The seats are first come/first serve, BUT when you call to reserve your tickets if you mention you are with Bill McGrath's (Elivs') fan club ~ they will try to seat you all at the same table.   The other option would be if one person calls and orders everyone's tickets, then you are guaranteed to sit at the same table.

 

May I suggest that if you are interested in going to Rhode Island that each of you make a note in the GuestBook, so others will know and maybe you can all carpool.  Remember ~ the road trip is part of the fun!! 

 

Also, don't forget to reserve your room and again mention Elvis and you will get the special rate.

I think it would be super if we could get several members of the fan club to attend the Essex Craft Fair on October 23,24, & 25 and support Bill!!   We really have a good time!  I think the passer bys totally think we're nuts, but we don't care ~ we're there for Bill and to have fun!  And you know what ~ they usually join in the fun!  

 

I believe we have 3 from New York coming, so why not carpool!  It makes the long ride seem shorter ~ but well worth it!  If you will be coming to Essex make a note in the guestbook if you have the room for others to ride with you.

Hello everyone:

 

I have returned from Memphis.  Had a great time, but would have had a better time if Bill and Marion were there.  We rented a car so we were able to travel and see the different Elvis sites.  We traveled to Tupelo to see his 2-bedroom house he lived in as a small child.  We saw the church he attended as a child.  They re-enacted a Sunday service with drop down screens on both sides of us as well as in the front of us, this actually put you in the middle of a service with people all around you. It was neat! We then went to the Lauderdale Apts to see the apartment that Vernon rented for his family when they moved from Tupelo.   Of course I sat on Elvis' bed and played his guitar.  That was quite exciting as well.  We went on to see the hardware store were Mrs Presley bought Elvis his first guitar.  One of the clerks actually saw Elvis in concert 5 times and told us some stories.  We then wanted to go for lunch.  Funny thing in Memphis. . . they seem to shut their kitchens down at 2:00. 

 

I'll would like to post some pictures of our trip and our bbq, BUT I have run into a major problem.  My computer lost it's hard drive!  And doesn't work! UGH!! $$$$ ~ not a good time since I spent my money in Memphis! But I'm looking into a new one so hopefully I'll be back up and running soon. And hopefully they will be able to pull some of my website work from the old hard drive.  Keep your fingers crossed!! 

 

I did post a couple new shows for Bill and waiting for information on another one in October, so check it out!

Hello everyone!  It was good to see you all on Sunday.  I hope you all had a good time!  I'm pooped, but it was all worth it!  Glad to see the Burlington girls made it down.  They aren't as fortunate as we are to see Bill as often as we do.  They have quite a drive.  Ask Cathie and Christine - they've done that drive before!!

 

I want to thank my team, Lynda, Betsey and Karen, for all their help with the cooking, decorating, serving, etc.  Boy that Lynda!!  She washes dishes like nobody else I know?  She washed them, set them in the drainer, I'd grab them, dirty them,  she'd washed them, put them in the drainer, I'd grab....... I guess you get the picture.  So if you need a good dishwasher, I'll be glad to send her your way!   And Betsey!........per John, the #1 man in my life (sorry Bill !), makes the best macaroni salad he's ever tasted.  He held her serving spoons hostage until she gave me the recipe for it. And then when she did, he swears that she didn't tell me all the ingredients!   ?? 

 

And back to John, I really need to thank him for his patience and for putting up with all the nuttiness that went on 3 days before.  He was really neglected!  I'm sorry!  I'll make it up to you!   He did a great job as chef and when I went in side after everyone had left, he had the kitchen all cleaned up!!  He is priceless!!  I love him dearly!!  And..... Oh my God!  When he came walking out after I gave Bill the rose, with the rose for Marion, I almost split a gut!!  I had know idea he was going to do that.  He just cracks me up! 

 

And what about that Hassan family?  Can they sing or what.  It was like watching the Trapp Family Singers!   And what does Cathie have going on in Texas??   Spill your guts Cathie!!

 

Cows!  Bill received enough cows to start his own little farm!  He even has the barn to store them in!!  And he has no need to own a rooster........he's got his own little cow alarm clock to wake him up!  Moo!  Thanks Karen! 

 

And of course to all of you, thank you again for all the support you've shown Bill and I during this last year.  Without all of you, none of this would have ever happened.

Hi everyone!  Those of us who went to the Lake George Elvis Fest had a great time!  Even with the high winds tearing the canopy from the stage and table area and the little bit of dirt we ate, it was great!  Just a little extra excitement!

 

Our favorite couple was amazing as always!  They sang their hearts out at the competition and beautifully I must add!  Sadly, they did not place in the finals, which they should have!  I'm sure you will all agree they are both winners and #1!!  There is no one better than Bill and Marion McGrath!!

 

They were asked to entertain, doing one-hour time slots at different places around Lake George, for those who didn't want to stay at the competion.  It was a refreshing change of entertainment will Bill being his normal crazy self.  He had the people eating out of his hands. . . especially the ladies.  He has that charisma that just draws the people in. . . . . or maybe it was the "pole dance"??  Just too funny!!

 

People were coming up to me and asking where he is going to be next ~ how can I hire him ~  I want him for this and that ~ how can I join his fan club ~ how can I get one of his jackets?   I gave them the information so hopefully we will get new fans and more shows to go to! 

 

YES! I said . . . . . .  **NEW JACKETS** !!  The fan club staff has designed a jacket just for our club members.  It's white satin with "Bill McGrath Fan Club" and musical notes in black on the back with the club member's name on the front.  We received many compliments on them.  We even had other fan clubs ask us where we got them.  I'm sure we'll  be seeing more jackets at next year's Elvis Fest!! 

 

We will have ours at the Perthshire on June 23rd for you to see.  

 

**Make sure you attend the BBQ on July 12 ~ We will be raffling off one of the jackets.  $5.00 a ticket or 3 tickets for $10.00.  (retail value $50.00)  You can purchase your tickets that day or at the Perthshire on June 23rd.

Hello everyone!  A great time was had by all at the Essex Craft Fair.  Bill never ceases to amaze us.  People of all ages from 2 to 92 can not walk by without stopping to listen, dance a little, or just watch!  He will always get a smile out of them before they leave!  I think he's found some new fans.  Little ones with their Moms walked, stopped, looked, listened, danced, looked, and watched some more.  There was one curly blonde-haired little girl dressed in her pink and black party dress with ruffles, pink tights, and black patent leather shoes.  She stopped and watched.  Bill noticed her and started singing and dancing towards her.  She watched him ever so carefully, still being very shy, not quite trusting him, but not running away, just watching! She studied his feet, watching as he danced, trying to make her feet move as his were.  She gave it several attempts throughout the song, moving her arms and feet just a little.  By the end of the song, she was able to move her feet just like Bill!  (He'll have stiff competition in a couple of years!) The people standing and watching this applauded.  It was another heart-felt moment for the Bill McGrath Fan Club and as usual, he made one little girl feel very special.  This is why we love him!
